Anyone who has ever had a quick bite in their own country or on holiday has eaten a delicious kebab or gyros sandwich. With these Shawarma herbs you can create that delicious Greek / Turkish feeling at home. It's not very difficult. It is best with thin chicken strips, but beef strips are also possible.

Preparation

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
  • Do you prefer to use fresh ingredients instead of dried ones?
  • Then use a mortar instead of a food processor to grind everything into a nice spice mixture
  • The flavors will come out much better in the mortar.

These spices are enough to marinate about 500 grams of meat. With these Shoarma spices you can also easily give chicken, beef and pork skewers a delicious taste. Make it extra tasty by making a paste of these herbs by mixing them with some olive oil. Brush the skewers or loose meat again on both sides during or after grilling. If you use them to make a shawarma sandwich, first add a good splash of olive oil to the meat and then mix the spices through it. Just bake or grill and you imagine yourself in Greece or at a street food restaurant.
