Gyros seasoning
Anyone who has ever had a quick bite in their own country or on holiday has eaten a delicious kebab or gyros sandwich. With these Gyros herbs you can create that wonderful Greek feeling at home. It's not very difficult. It is best with thin chicken strips, but beef strips are also fine.
Preparation
- Add all ingredients together in a bowl and mix well.
- Do you prefer to use fresh ingredients instead of dried ones? Then use a mortar instead of a food processor to grind everything into a nice spice mixture.
- The flavors will come out much more in the mortar.
Enjoy your dinner
These spices are enough to marinate about 500 grams of meat. With these Gyros herbs you can also easily give chicken skewers, beef and pork skewers a delicious taste. Make it extra tasty by making a paste of these herbs by mixing them with some olive oil. Brush the skewers or loose meat on both sides again during or after grilling. If you use them to make a Gyros sandwich, first add a good dash of olive oil to the meat and then mix in the herbs. Bake or grill and you will imagine yourself in Greece or at a Street food restaurant.
